Using the content

The texts and news published here may be freely shared and quoted, with credit and a link to the original page. Photos may show people assisted and volunteers: do not reuse them outside their original context without written permission.

The red cross emblem

The red cross on a white background is an emblem protected by the Geneva Conventions and by Brazilian law. Its use is restricted: it may not be reproduced on other websites, materials or products without authorisation, even for non-commercial purposes.

Courses and enrolment

Enrolment in in-person courses is done on the enrolment page, in Portuguese: the R$ 99 enrolment fee, paid by PIX or card, holds your place, and the course fee is paid afterwards on the school platform, under the conditions stated there. The school office confirms the class, date and time by e-mail.

The rules for withdrawing and getting your money back, including the 7-day right of withdrawal, are in Cancellation and refunds.

Donations

Online donations through this site have been suspended since 25 September 2026: no page on this site issues donation charges. Be wary of any charge in the name of the Red Cross made outside the official channels, listed on the links page, and let us know at the e-mail above.

Using the site and the chat

You may not use the site or the chat to send illegal, offensive or misleading content, impersonate someone else, try to access restricted areas or overload the forms. Such messages may be discarded without reply.

Liability

We work to keep the information accurate and up to date, but it is for information only. The site and the chat do not handle emergencies: in an emergency in Brazil, call 192 (SAMU ambulance service) or 193 (Fire Brigade).

Links to third-party sites are provided in good faith; their content is the responsibility of whoever runs them.

Privacy and cookies

How personal data is processed is described in the Privacy Policy, and cookies in the Cookie Policy.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change to keep up with the site and the law. The date at the top shows the version in force.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. In consumer relationships, such as course enrolment, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence (Art. 101, I, of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code). For other matters, the courts of the City of Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, have jurisdiction.
