Seven in-person courses taught at the branch headquarters in central Rio de Janeiro, each ending with a certificate issued by the branch.
Every course is taught in Portuguese, in person, at Praça da Cruz Vermelha, 10, in central Rio de Janeiro. There is no interpreting, no online option and no group in another language. Practical first aid is learned with a manikin and an instructor beside you, and that is what gives the certificate its weight — which is also why it cannot be done remotely.
Enrolment is online, and the form asks for a CPF, the Brazilian individual taxpayer number, and a phone number with a Brazilian area code. Foreign residents in Brazil normally have both. If you do not, write to us before paying anything and we will tell you where you stand.
So this page is useful to you if you live in or near Rio de Janeiro and follow a class in Portuguese comfortably. If that is not you, the honest answer is that these courses are not the right fit — and we would rather say so here than take your money first.

Fees are in Brazilian reais and paid in full, not in instalments. On top of the course fee there is a one-off enrolment charge of R$ 99, which holds your place. For Civil Firefighter, professional accreditation at the end of the course is paid separately.
Recognising an emergency and giving safe initial care until the ambulance arrives: assessing the casualty, CPR, using an automated external defibrillator, bleeding control, and the first response to trauma, choking and fainting. It prepares you to act at home, at school, at work, in sport and in the community.
The same ground, worked through for children: assessing a child, CPR, choking, falls, trauma, seizures, burns and bleeding, plus prevention. Built for the people the Lucas Law covers — teachers and staff in schools, nurseries, social projects and sports activities — and for parents who want the same preparation.
The short, protocol-led version: assessing the casualty, CPR, the automated external defibrillator, bleeding control and the first response to trauma, choking and fainting, following current international guidelines. Four hours, the quickest route to being useful in a cardiac arrest.
Peripheral venous access done safely: anatomy of the venous system, puncture technique, choosing and handling the materials, preparing the patient, preventing complications, infection control and biosafety. Aimed at health students and professionals, for work in hospitals, clinics, laboratories and collection services.
Eighty hours of fire prevention and response, basic pre-hospital care, evacuation, safety equipment and risk management, theory and practice. It leads to work in companies, industry, hospitals, residential buildings, shopping centres, airports, hotels, schools and events. Professional accreditation is arranged separately at the end.
Hygiene, feeding, running a care routine, accident prevention, moving and handling, basic first aid, and the physical, emotional and social sides of ageing. It leads to work in homes, long-stay institutions, clinics, hospitals, day centres and home care — and it serves just as well someone caring for a relative.
Semi-permanent lip work: colour theory, skin anatomy and physiology, biosafety, pigment implantation technique, correcting asymmetry, evening out lip colour, before and after care, and correct handling of the equipment. It leads to work in aesthetic clinics, salons, specialist studios or self-employment.
Every course ends with a certificate issued by the branch. It is not accredited by Brazil's Ministry of Education — no open course is — and it does not replace a regulated professional licence.
