The Brazilian Red Cross — Rio de Janeiro Branch prepared to take part in the celebrations of 7 September, the date that marks Brazil's Independence and brings together civil and military institutions in a range of commemorative activities.
To organise the branch's participation in the 7 September Civic Parade, official registration was opened for the volunteers and team members who would be present representing the Red Cross.
Confirming in advance was essential for planning the marching groups, accrediting participants, organising the teams and sharing the instructions for the day of the parade.
Who had to fill in the form
Registration was required of all volunteers and team members of the Brazilian Red Cross — Rio de Janeiro Branch intending to take part officially in the parade.
Even those who had already expressed interest had to fill it in, so that the organisers could work with an up-to-date list of participants.
Why registration was needed
Taking part in an event of this size involves a series of preparations. With the participants' details, the branch could organise:
